About

I use this site as a way to chronicle various projects, similar to a portfolio. I also have a blog where I have more off-topic posts to practice my writing and markdown skills. I find the classroom experience to be great, but sometimes I like to learn off the beaten path if I'm not learning at the pace I'd like. For recruiters: a copy of my résumé is also linked at the top of this page.

I'm currently a 3rd-year undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota where I'm studying Bioproducts Engineering. My major is very similar to chemical engineering, although with an emphasis on using renewable materials as raw material and sustainable engineering processes - especially pertaining to “green” products including biofuels, bioenergy, biodegradable plastics, building materials, paper, and chemicals. I have STEM leadership experience through robotics and clubs, and love to promote in interest in STEM. I am interested in most scientific subjects, especially pertaining to chemistry and the environment.

Outside of school, I enjoy photography, rock climbing, and various craft projects.
